Vaginal Rejuvenation, Labial Reduction & Augmentation
We occasionally get calls inquiring about female intimate procedures such as so-called vaginal rejuvenation, labial reduction or augmentation. These are procedures that Dr. Graham has chosen not to perform at the present time.
There are a variety of companies marketing laser, radio frequency or infra-red heating devices for internal procedures purported to help women relieve symptoms and enjoy benefits. The information they present to substantiate their claims seems insufficient. They are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for improving sexual health or satisfaction.
There certainly is a place for treatment of irritation caused by redundant or excessive labia. We suggest you address such concerns with your Ob/Gyn physician, and consider undergoing a minor surgery called labial reduction. We will continue to evaluate the techniques and procedures and decide whether to add, at a future date, them to our practice.
