Top 5 Female Plastic Surgery Procedures
The 5 most common women's cosmetic plastic surgery procedures nationwide: (total and % change from 2000)
- Breast Augmentation 313,000, 48%+
- Liposuction 258,000, 24%-
- Rhinoplasty 213,000, 33%-
- Eyelid, Blepharoplasty 206,000, 35%-
- Tummy Tuck 130,000, 107%+
Among our female patients facelift, forehead lift, breast lift, breast reduction are also very common procedures. These trends are from the American Society of Plastic Surgery national statistics for 2018. Our practice contributes data to the organization to compile the statistics. Breast lift is the third most common procedure in a different, but comparable, study by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Graham does not offer rhinoplasty, nose reshaping.
Non-invasive procedures have greatly increased in those years. Women chose neuromodulators such as Botox 7,000,000 times, a 900% increase from 2000. Soft-tissue fillers such as Juvederm and Restylane totaled 2,400,000 for women, a 300% increase. More than one billion dollars were spent on Botox and injectable fillers in 2018. We perform thousands of facial injectable procedures yearly, and this has grown tremendously. The ASPS statistics do not reflect the great increase in non-invasive body contouring (CoolSculpting).
Interestingly, the surgery that has seen the most growth in the last 5 years is buttock augmentation (fat grafting). There has been a 61% increase and more than $100,000,000 were spend on improving ones rear end in 2018.
