Red Facial Skin: April is Rosacea Awareness Month
- April has been designated Rosacea Awareness Month by the National Rosacea Society (NRS) to educate the public on this potentially serious condition estimated to affect more than 16 million Americans, and to urge those with the warning signs to see a dermatologist for diagnosis and appropriate therapy.

- 7 in 10 people in the United States who have rosacea have been suffering for 3 years or longer.2
- 74% of surveyed patients reported being unsatisfied with their current rosacea treatment, such as prescription and over-the-counter gels and antibiotics.2
- 59% of surveyed patients with rosacea weren't aware of laser therapy as a treatment.2
- 83% of those who had achieved clear or almost clear skin said their psychological well-being had improved. Seventy-three percent said treatments also improved their social lives.
