Arm Contouring / Lift: Case 8 (2905148)
Description
This 55 year old woman was successful at major weight loss over several years time. She consulted us at Aesthetic Center Greenville for body contouring procedures including her arms and tummy / torso. Dr. Graham evaluated her arms, including the amount and quality of skin, the skin tone, and the distribution and amount of subcutaneous fat. Liposuction by itself would be able to remove the excess fat, but leave behind more loose skin. Coolsculpting has similar limitations and would be less effective in her situation. The recommended procedure was surgical arm tuck known as brachioplasty. This includes both contouring remaining fat, removing excess fat, and generous removal of excess skin. The procedure does leave a rather long scar along the inner aspect of the arm, but patients readily accept this in exchange for the improved arm contour. They no longer suffer trying to conceal the excess. They tell us how happy they are buying clothes, putting on sleeves, or going sleeveless. They refer their friends to us.
