Body Diastasis Recti - Abdominal Muscle Separation: Case 2 (19509)
Description
This 35 year old mom to two had wide diastasis recti discovered and repaired during routine abdominoplasty surgery, in addition to a small hernia. She was having a two stage procedure to make over her post-pregnancy changes, consisting of breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction of the back, flanks, and bra line. Her diastasis was asymptomatic and not evident on preoperative examination. Dr. Graham repaired the diastasis and the hernia in the course of rectus muscle repair (plication).
