Breast Nipple & Areola : Case 5 (19391)
Description
This 40 year old woman presented to the Aesthetic Center for recommendations on how she could have less nipple prominence. The breasts, nipples and areola were all normal, but the prominence bothered her in clothing. She had tried taping, padded bras and nursing pads to camouflage them. She had no plans for future breast feeding. The procedure offered was nipple reduction, under local anesthesia, consisting of removing a moderate portion of the tip of the nipple. Tiny dissolving sutures were placed and she healed well, keeping natural sensation.
