Breast Nipple & Areola : Case 8
Description
This 60 year old woman had spent years unhappy with the appearance of her left nipple. It was inverted and did not match her normal appearing right nipple. She was pleased to learn that Dr. Graham could achieve symmetry - her left nipple could look natural, it could project like the right one. The procedure is relatively simple. It is performed under local anesthesia as an office procedure. There is little recovery or downtime. Over the counter analgesics are usually adequate, but stronger medication is available if needed. The procedure uses your natural nipple tissue, lifting it out or pushing it up beyond the surface. The incision scar is often imperceptible once healed. Sensation may be effected. The procedure should not be performed if future breast feeding is anticipated. Similar techniques can be used to increase a flat or small nipple. Now she has matching, natural appearing nipples.
