Facial Facelift / Necklift: Case 23 (23157)
Description
This mid50's woman had noticed some progressive changes of her facial contours. The lower face appeared wider. The jawline was less defined. The under-chin portion of the neck appeared fuller and less contoured. Dr. Graham evaluated her and suggested a modified facelift -- liposuction under the chin and limited or cheek only facelift. A full opening and deep tightening of the neck was not necessary to improve her results. This meant less swelling and quicker recovery. Her procedure was performed under oral sedation and local anesthesia in our accredited surgical facility. Post-op photos are shown at ten weeks (relatively early). She has resumed all activities. Sensation is returning to the cheeks. Her chin profile and jawline are now more defined. The lower face is much less full or wide. The jowls are minimized. Scars are well concealed. Results like these give the impression of weight loss to some viewers.
