Male Breast / Gynecomastia: Case 1 (10198)
Description
This 29 year old man wanted to reduce his prominent breast appearance. He had learned about gynecomastia (male breast enlargement) from television and the internet, and used those sources and word-of-mouth to find Dr. Graham. He was otherwise healthy, 5' 10", and 220 pounds. He had no symptoms of hormone disorders, tumors, or use of medications that are known to cause male breast gland enlargement. He actually had a condition called pseudo-gynecomastia; increased fatty tissue in the breast area, rather than actual glandular overgrowth. We recommended treatment by liposuction, which was performed in our surgical facility. 700ml of fat was removed, and good contour improvement was seen. He was "definitely pleased." "There is a phenomenal difference." He is now comfortable with his shirt off.
