Male Breast / Gynecomastia: Case 6 (23223)
Description
This 35 year old male consulted Dr. Graham to correct prominent breasts t and achieve a natural well-developed pectoral muscle appearance. He was referred by another physician. This condition began during adolescence, and persisted since. His gym workouts helped pec contour, but thick prominent glands did not improve. He was 5' 11" and 215# in excellent health. His primary care doctor had a mammogram done to be sure it was normal. Our examination showed abnormal gland measuring 1 /12 to 2" thick. He was a good candidate for gland removal (subcutaneous mastectomy), done through small incisions hidden along the lower areola. Compression vest was used for the first 2-3 weeks. His 3 month photos show well defined pec muscles, no abnormal protrusion and excellent scars.
