Body Tummy Tuck / Abdominoplasty: Case 24 (2070557)
Description
This 37 year old woman consulted us about tummy tuck. She had finished having children and wanted a more toned flatter abdomen. She was healthy and at a good weight. We explained how tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) works: skin, fat and muscle are improved. Loose muscle tone is re-tightened and and muscle separation (diastasis) is repaired. Excess fat in the lower abdomen is permanently removed. And finally skin looseness from the upper and lower abdomen is shifted downward, tightening throughout. The belly button remains in its natural position as the skin around it shifts down, then we bring it back to the surface. She chose to undergo this procedure with an excellent result. Her tummy is flatter and her skin is no longer loose. Her waist has more of an hour-glass shape. Her scar is low and nicely faded. The old tattoo on the right was removed with the loose skin (gladly). One photo shows the removed section of skin and fat, having been divided in two halves during the procedure. Clothes fit better and she looks great in whatever she wears.
