Breast Augmentation : Case 44 (15245)
Description
This 45 year old woman was referred by her sister for breast augmentation. She was 5' 2" and 120 #, wearing a 34 B bra. She had well controlled high blood pressure and was otherwise healthy. There was a scar around the left nipple & areola from a biopsy procedure many years earlier. She used sizers to pick 310-325ml saline implants. The procedure was done as an out-patient with general anesthesia, through an inframammary approach. She reported a comfortable post-op recovery. After recovery, her bra size ranged from 34-36 C-D cup. She did not lose nipple or breast sensation. She now considers larger implants, but thought they may be too large during pre-op sizing. She is pleased with the improvement.
