Breast Lift / Mastopexy: Case 36 (22789)
Description
This 60 y/o mom of twins was ready for her Mommy Make-Over: breast enhancement and tummy tuck. She had relatively large hanging breasts and relaxed abdominal muscle and skin, with prominent stretch marks. She was active and healthy, but unable to tighten, tone or lift the relaxed tissues with exercise. The breasts were managed by staged reduction and lift, with subsequent breast implants. Over 400 grams of breast tissue were removed and a generous lift was performed at the same time as abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). Two pounds of excess tummy skin and fat were removed in addition to 3 inches of slack in the center of the abdominal wall fibrous tissue and muscle (plication of the fascia). Liposuction was used to contour the lateral breast and chest wall as well as the lateral abdomen (400ml fat removed). Seven months later very small saline breast implants were added to improve projection and upper contour (125ml). The breasts are modest sized (36C cup) but attractive and well proportioned. The tummy is nearly flat, toned and mildly defined. The umbilicus is more attractive. Her abdominal support appears to improve posture. She has an excellent overall result and is very pleased.
