Breast Lift / Mastopexy: Case 39 (31680)
Description
This 61 year old woman wished to improve her saggy breasts. She was a healthy, vigorous, active retiree. She did not request breast implants as a way to enhance her breasts; but rather only wanted to have her own tissue lifted, skin tightened. Her bra was 34B and she wanted to be the same size. She had breast fed 2 children and she had lost about 25 pounds in recent years. Our recommendation was a mastopexy (breast lift), concealing incisions beneath the fold and around the areola, shifting her own gland higher onto her chest, and only removing loose skin. This was done in a short procedure in our accredited operating facility under general anesthesia. Her recovery was smooth and she enjoyed her results.
